Armed Forces Day and More!

Maycen and I helped my friend Katie celebrate Eden's 1st Bday, we went to the Spring Fair in Lacey and although we got there at the end it was nice to catch up and Eden is getting so big and such a great personality! Happy Birthday Eden!

Later that week Maycen and I and my friend Holly and her little man Issac went to Armed forces Day on post. There were lots of vendors and booths to buy nicknacks. The cool thing is they had Ft Steilicoom actors in uniform from different World war periods they came out and reenact some of the famous war scenes. Here are some of the shots. They had this really loud cannon and to both Holly and my surprise the babies did great but both Holly and I shot outta our skin every 15 minutes when it went off. You sure get jumpy these days on a military base and hear a canon going off so close that your skin moves from the sound waves! Geez!

Maycen is getting so big now weighing about 16 pounds or more now! We are excited to start post daycare the first of June! It will be a nice change from what we had with Crazy Caroline. We are going to miss Elizabeth who stepped in and rescued us from our previous situation but still planning to have her for the weekends. Jared will be home for a few days at the end of the month he will have a conference in Wenachee and then apparently he has been summoned to testify in a court case in Spokane. Then he is off to Alabama for his second class.

Some new things about Maycen this month that I have noticed. She loved to suck her right thumb and then uses her left to hold her right arm when it gets tired. She sucks on my hair when she is tired...gross I know, will grab a fist full and put it in her mouth. She likes Nana's Blanket in lue of my hair, the yarn must feel similar. She can pull herself up when holding my fingers to a sit and then to a stand. She giggles like crazy when you do raspberries on her tummy or her neck. She has the best dimples!
